The Hawaii Island Humane Society will be waiving adoption fees all summer long for animals ages 6 months and older.

The free adoptions were made possible because HIHS was the recipient of two separate grants from Petfinder Foundation and Petco Love.

Fees will be waived until Sept. 25 at the nonprofit’s Keaau Shelter and The Animal Community Center in Kona.
